Founded in 1995 as a small, grassroots effort to address hunger, Open Heart Kitchen has always led with heart. Today, OHK serves free meals and groceries at multiple locations in Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton, California—welcoming neighbors from all walks of life and offering comfort, dignity, and hope during challenging times. Open Heart Kitchen has served more than 8,000,000 meals over the last 30 years.

This Heart Day, we’re embracing the heart in our name and our mission by turning Valentine’s Day into a celebration of love in action. Supporters can donate in honor of someone they love, and Open Heart Kitchen will send a hand-written Valentine’s Day card letting them know they inspired this act of generosity. Donations made by February 5 will ensure delivery by Valentine’s Day. All donations made through February 13 will still include a belated card, along with an email letting your loved one know that a heartfelt message is on the way.
